What would you think about someone who had four jobs in two years? I quit my job of 10 years at the worst time. I jumped to a new role I was really excited about, but I was only there for six months before being laid off. I found another job and quit after three months because the role was not at all what I was promised. I’ve been at my current job, a start-up, for about eight months now, and I’m fairly certain it’s not going to make it. If I’m going to be interviewing again soon, how much would this worry you on a resume?

Listen, it’s a weird time and a weird market right now. You’re not going to be the only person this has happened to in the last two years. I know some deeply talented engineers who have been laid off multiple times in the last few years. You’re not going to be the only one with fractures and gaps between ~2020 and now.
